A Foggy Drive to Toronto

It was a beautiful sunny day as we drove to Toronto for our flight to London, England. We were going to do a repeat of the cruise that was disrupted last year due to a huge storm in Southampton. This would be Round 2 of going to find my grandfather's grave.

Whoa...where did that bright sunny day go?

We would drive out of the fog only to drive back into it a few minutes later...

We were hoping that moose like to stay home in foggy weather.

It finally cleared and we carried on with our lovely day. The autumn leaves were spectacular.

I was hoping to take a photo here where you can see the St. John River for miles. However, I guess the fog still wasn't finished with us.

Yikes...crazy!

Almost clear!

Crossing into Quebec...

The colours were still pretty, even without the reds or oranges...

This is a pretty rest stop near Quebec City...

Love the blue sky!

We stayed in Cornwall overnight and then, because our flight wasn't until 11:00 p.m., we decided we would take the more scenic Thousand Islands Parkway.

All of these little islands have cottages or houses on them. You wouldn't have too many visitors just dropping in...

Lack of land? No problem! Just build your cottage vertically.

Another lovely spot, but I'm not sure how I feel about not being able to walk anywhere.

This one has a bridge from the mainland to the island. Interesting arrangement...they both seem to have garages. Maybe the one on the mainland is their townhouse!

It was such a beautiful day for a drive with very little traffic, until we got closer to Toronto that is. Then it was the usual mayhem...

Tomorrow we'll be in London!
